“ Battery issue is really annoying, now Android OS comes with a new feature highlight apps that cause bad battery life”.
Battery life on Android devices over the years has been wakelocks, it is one of the biggest challenges. Wakelocks are caused by apps that continually ask the phone for information.
This saves the phone from entering into the deep sleep state, where least battery is used. However, if the phone never goes into deep state it causes burning battery.
There are many apps that’s detect and break down on wakelock, but according to the latest report, it seems like Google is getting involved. In the latest Android 8.1 Developer Preview, the battery app is naming abusive apps.
You can find the caution appears in the battery settings having a red battery icon, the name of that specific app, and it also shows you how it’s wearing your battery. By clicking on this option you will get the options how to solve this. This might be killing that specific app or turned off the location.
There is nothing officially announced whether this new feature will only for Android 8.1 or when it releases to the public.
It’s an encouraging development that Google is testing out a feature that gives users more information and control over their devices. Google has long been trying to improve battery life with creativity like Doze option, but this time it takes one step further.
What do you think about this feature, will this feature works efficiently or it’s another annoying one. Do tell us in the comment below.
